1. Preheat oven to 350º. Lightly grease two 8-inch cake pans.
2. In an electric mixer, combine the oil and sugar. Add the eggs and mix until light and thick. This will take a minute or two.
3. Add the other ingredients, wet first, than dry. Beat well.
4. Pour into prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the middle tests cleanly.
5. Let cool before icing, which is paired nicely with Peanut Butter Icing if desired.
